Posting an RFQ

<< Return to CompositeRFQ Help

Posting a project is easy on CompositeRFQ. To begin the process, click the Post a New Project link in the Summary window at the left of the screen. This takes you to a series of pages that ask you for a variety of details about it to help identify the best suppliers for you.

Physical Description: Here you are asked for a general description of the project, the rough dimensions, and the quantities involved (both for the quantity you are certain you will be ordering should you find a suitable proposal, as well as the potential quantity you may be ordering in the coming year). You also may specify the quantities in which you would like Users to submit pricing.

Project Categories:

This page allows you to classify your project to the best of your ability. Classifying the project allows Users to search within their specialties, and more easily find RFQs that relate to their strengths.

Concepts & Images:

This page defines the starting point for the project; what will be supplied to the company doing the work? You also may upload any images you might have to help clarify what is involved in the project.

Milestones:

This page defines the critical timing of your project, both from the point of view of how long the RFQ will be available for quoting, and certain key points throughout the project.

Add-Ons:

Users can post RFQ at no cost. We offer value-enhancing additional features to help promote your RFQ. See Enhanced RFQs for more information.

Confirm and Submit:

Before your project is submitted, you are provided with a preview of what your RFQ will look like for your approval.

Once you submit your quote, any additional fees from Add-ons are assessed, and your RFQ is examined for quality control before released to the site (within 24hrs). Once released, submitted quotes come to you for consideration.
